Somewhere in the Dream

Somewhere in the Dream is a trip through the urban ghetto, destination: chain-link fences, breakdancing, alienation and hope. Everett juxtaposes archetypal stories of high school graduation and modern youth with classic texts such as Hamlet and Giselle. The multi-ethnic and multi-generational Company weaves a vision of a troubling and redemptive contemporary landscape. Dream speaks numerous languages that audiences immediately take to heart: ballet, homoeroticism, hip-hop, Spanish, acrobatics, humor, rage and revolution.
