Headliner: Cortez

“From the Island to the States, still lost in my head space”. Kevin Cortez was born on the island of Puerto Rico and moved to Rhode Island at seven years old. He was introduced to a world that made him feel even lesser, simply because of a language barrier. Through love for music he found himself writing and listening to how people used their words in a way ESL (English as a Second Language) couldn’t teach. Now the art comes naturally, but he never forgets his roots and still incorporates a Latin feel to his music. –Kevin Cortez
